International Ministry

 Love and Truth Fountain Ministries, Kenya, began several years ago when Curtis and Sue Burgess traveled to Kenya for the first time and fell in love with the people and the country. Since that time, we have established many Love and Truth churches in the western and northern parts of Kenya, and several more across the border in Eastern Uganda. The ministry in Kenya/Uganda is led by three men-- Rev. Samuel Ayoyi, Rev. Andrew Schwieger, and Rev. Julius Muya. It is divided into four regions, which are overseen by these competent and trustworthy leaders. Our focus for the coming year is to win many souls to the Kingdom of God, to break some unhealthy cycles of poverty and corruption in these countries, and to establish a place of healing and hope.

We have taken several mission trips to Kenya in the past 6 years, and will continue to do so in the future. In 2010, we took our first "team" trip with eleven people from Love & Truth Jackson and Henderson traveling to Kenya for two weeks. We ministered in several schools, proclaiming the Gospel and handing out school supplies. We also ministered in several Love & Truth churches in the Western Province of Kenya, and were able to give out guitars and keyboards to help in the works there.

Pastor Cupples was born and raised in Western Africa, and lived in Kenya for a short while as a teenager, so this mission field is very dear to the Cupples' hearts. The needs are huge, but God is unlimited! We have given at least one bicycle to each pastor, and at the present, we are trying to supply a battery-run keyboard to every Love & Truth Church in Kenya and Uganda. Love and Truth Belize Ministries is a Belizean Not-for-Profit Corporation
operating under the authority and covering of Love and Truth Ministries International, Inc. It came about from the God-given vision of one man, Johnny White, who now serves as overseer of the Belize project. Although he lives in Jackson and attends church there, he makes several trips a year to Belize to further the work in that country.

We recently purchased 50 acres of beautiful, lush property in the Cayo District of Belize. We have started construction on a building that will house workers for now, and will eventually be a part of a multi-purpose building for youth camps. We plan to have transitional homes for children coming out of the foster care system in Belize, as the government sees that as a great need in their country. We are thankful for the favor we have had in the country of Belize, and we believe that this is a project that was ordained by God.

We will be taking many mission trips to Belize in the near future, mainly construction trips for now, but eventually coordinating camps and ministering to hundreds of young people. Please pray that God helps us to quickly get the financial resources and permits that we need to complete this project.
